disturbing

Dear, sweet David just walked up to me and stated, "Hey, mom!  If you were a doe I would shoot you!" (big smile...).

I do not think he fully understands what he said--obviously.  This little boy is not violent.  He likes to wrestle and rough-house, but i have never seen him get angry and go after someone and hurt them.  I think there has been a bit too much "buck fever" in this house, considering that it is hunting season.  Never the less--that was an awful little statement I wish to never hear uttered again.  I made it quite clear to him that it is NOT ok to say things like that.
