The tree is now lit and decorated, as is the rest of the house. We did end up needing to replace the one string of lights, but now the tree is lit and happy. There are lights and garland over windows and over the entry way to the kitchen. There are now lights on the outside of our house as well, along with a projector.
Dave LOVES Christmas lights. It's really cute just how much he loves them. I came home last night, and he was sitting in the dark with all of the Christmas lights on. He was watching TV as well, he's not a creepy creature of the night, but he had all of the lights off so he could really see the Christmas lights.
Speaking of last night..... After Dave came home from work, and everyone was fed--I left. It was lovely. I talked to my sis for close to an hour on the phone--uninterrupted, mind you, while I browsed around Barnes and Noble. I was able to SIT DOWN with my selections in one of their ridiculously comfy, squishy chairs and read my books for probably half an hour. I did not have to get up to fetch anything for anyone the entire time. This may need to happen once a week now.
