While David had a blast at soccer camp last week, his ankle received one as well. David and another boy collided, and David's ankle took the full force of it. He has now been limping since Wednesday.
He is doing better. He walked a lot at the zoo yesterday and rode in the stroller/cart thing a lot towards the end. He did great.
When the sprain first happened he cried whenever he tried to walk on it. I was worried he had actually broken it, but Dave was convinced that it was a sprain. He must have been right because the more he walked on it the better it felt. If he tried to walk after sitting or lying down for a while, it would hurt worse.
Apparently, the key is to keep it loose. Don't let it stiffen up. So while I wanted to carry him everywhere, Dave convinced me that it would be counter-productive.
ugh. hate when he's right.
Let me guess...Dave said "Walk it off" right? ;) lol Poor kiddo...tell David that Aunt Desi is limping just like him! lol
