catching up

Once again, I have fallen off the blogging wagon.  It's time to hop back on!

In the past month...

  • David's ankle has healed (most of the time)
  • Dave sprained his while playing in the yard with Brody.  He rolled it on a mole hill and lay on the ground yelling for a while.  I wasn't home so, unfortunately, I missed the show.
  • Dave had oral surgery.  He came home from a business trip to Ohio looking like a (half) chipmunk.  Two dental visits and one oral surgeon later, the tooth problem is gone.
  • David tore his frenulum.  That is the tiny piece of skin in your mouth connecting your top lip to your gum.  We took a field trip to the ER where we were told that it would heal very nicely on its own.  Which it did.
  • We acquired a pool.  Leah had one and bestowed it upon us.  Thanks, Leah!  It is 10ft across and 3 feet high.  900 gallons.  It's a baby.  The problem with it being so small is that it is very difficult to find supplies for it.  The smallest amounts that are printed on the chemicals are still too much for it.  So we are still trying to figure this out.
  • I changed Brody's food.  His 'little jobs' appear to be on track now...  And the food is cheaper!
  • Noah learned why you NEVER put a penny in your mouth.  Of course he figured this out after they had been put to bed, and Dave and I were sitting on the front porch.  Noah and David ran out onto the porch.  Noah was bawling his eyes out.  David: "Noah was choking on a penny."  Talk about terrifying!  Noah said he had gotten it out with his fingers.  David said he coughed it out.  Regardless, praise the LORD it came out. I had just spanked him the day before because I had caught him with a penny in his mouth.  Then he does it the very next day when he is suppose to be sleeping?!  Like I said, praise GOD!
  •  We have had lots of summer fun!

Today we went to the Flint Children's Museum.  The kids had a blast!

  1. Tell Noah that once Aunt Desi put a ring in her mouth and choked and swallowed it, and almost had to have surgery to get it out! (BTW I was 4 at the time, so close to his age...lol)
